Why did we do this again?
Man, it’s been a hell of a year. We’ve seen fires, floods, a rampaging virus, and worst of all we had to endure the joyless return of Space Jam. During this time of lock-downs and isolation, we like many other folks, found ourselves rather desperate for ways to interact with friends we were used to seeing regularly.
Luckily enough, we live in the age of the internet! And while getting together to play D&D on Roll20 was probably the only thing that kept me sane during the pandemic, Caleb, Rob and myself found ourselves looking for some familiarity in just hanging out and shooting the shit.
Enter Discord! We realized we had the technology to accomplish our goals, we could meet in a lobby to vehemently disagree with each other as often as we wanted to. As we kept chatting, we had the idea so many chatty friends have had before us, “We should record this!” Over the course of the pandemic, we’ve worked up a bit of an episode library, some of which is not very timely, but that will get better as we move forward.
For now, this is the next step in this little pet project, developing a site to host our stuff and a place to share ideas. If you’re so inclined, feel free to share your thoughts on whatever strikes your fancy!
